HƯỚNG DẪN VIẾT BÀI

Village before & after volcanic eruption

→ Dạng: map \+ process (before–after change)

2. Introduction (paraphrase)

Giữ:

village – volcanic eruption

Dùng:

shows → illustrates / depicts
before and after → prior to and following

Ví dụ:

The diagrams illustrate the position of a volcano and how a nearby village changed before and after a volcanic eruption.

5. Gợi ý từ vựng

The diagrams illustrate the position of a volcano and the changes to a nearby village before and after a volcanic eruption.

Overall, the eruption had a significant impact on the village, particularly due to the flow of lava, which altered the landscape and affected several houses.

Initially, the volcano was located on a small island surrounded by the sea. Before the eruption, the nearby village consisted of several houses scattered across a green area with palm trees and a winding path. The volcano appeared inactive, and the environment was largely undisturbed.

After the eruption, the situation changed considerably. Lava flowed from the volcano across the island, covering a large section of land and turning the previously green area into a grey, barren surface. The lava stream passed through the village, destroying or severely damaging some houses located along its path. Although a few buildings remained intact, the overall environment became much less habitable due to the widespread impact of volcanic activity.
