HƯỚNG DẪN VIẾT BÀI

How tea leaves are processed into five tea types

1. Giải thích đề

Sơ đồ mô tả quá trình chế biến lá trà để tạo ra 5 loại trà khác nhau.

→ Dạng: process (quy trình có phân nhánh)

2. Introduction (paraphrase)

Giữ:

tea leaves – processed – five types

Dùng:

shows → illustrates / outlines
process → procedure

Ví dụ:

The diagram illustrates how tea leaves are processed to produce five different types of tea.

3. Overview (ý chính)

Tất cả các loại trà đều trải qua các bước chung ban đầu:

leaf growth → plucking → withering

4. Chia BODY

BODY 1 – Giai đoạn chung & trà ít xử lý

Giai đoạn đầu (giống nhau):

Lá trà được:
trồng (growth)
hái (plucking)
làm héo (withering)

White tea:

Sau withering → đi thẳng đến drying

→ ít xử lý nhất

Green tea:

Sau withering → steaming
Sau đó:
rolling
drying

→ không có fermentation

BODY 2 – Trà lên men & xử lý mạnh hơn

Oolong tea:

After rolling → slight fermentation
Sau đó → drying

Black tea (2 loại):

Large-leaf black tea:
rolling → full fermentation → drying
Small-leaf black tea:
crushing (thay vì rolling)
→ full fermentation
→ drying

→ Ý: mức độ fermentation tăng dần từ oolong → black tea

5. Gợi ý từ vựng

undergo a process → trải qua quá trình
be subjected to → được xử lý bằng
fermentation → quá trình lên men
slight / full fermentation → lên men nhẹ / hoàn toàn
final stage → giai đoạn cuối
be dried in an oven → được sấy khô

The diagram illustrates how tea leaves are processed to produce five different types of tea.

Overall, all tea types follow the same initial stages—leaf growth, plucking, and withering—but differ in later processes such as steaming, rolling, fermentation, and crushing. The key differences lie in the level of fermentation, which determines the final type of tea.

After being harvested, the leaves are first withered to remove moisture. For green tea, the leaves are then steamed to prevent fermentation before being rolled and dried. In contrast, white tea undergoes minimal processing, as it is dried directly after withering without further treatment.

Oolong tea follows a more complex process: after rolling, the leaves undergo slight fermentation before oven drying. For black tea, the leaves are either rolled (for large-leaf black tea) or crushed (for small-leaf black tea), followed by full fermentation and final drying.
