Pie charts: Range of books and non-print materials (Undergraduate vs Postgraduate)

1. Giải thích đề

Bộ 4 biểu đồ tròn cho thấy mức độ đánh giá (very good, satisfaction, not good) của sinh viên đại học và sau đại học đối với hai loại tài liệu: books và non-print materials.

→ Dạng: multiple pie charts (so sánh giữa 2 nhóm \+ 2 loại tài liệu)

2. Introduction (paraphrase)

Giữ các từ khóa:

range of books

non-print materials

undergraduate / postgraduate

ratings

Có thể dùng:

shows → illustrates / compares

opinions → evaluations

Mẫu:

The pie charts illustrate the evaluations of books and non-print materials by undergraduate and postgraduate students.

3. Overview (ý chính)

Undergraduates đánh giá books tích cực hơn non-print materials

Postgraduates không hài lòng với books nhưng đánh giá cao non-print materials

“Not good” cao nhất ở postgraduate – non-print materials

→ sự khác biệt rõ giữa hai nhóm sinh viên

Từ khóa nên dùng:

showed contrasting patterns

were more satisfied with

recorded the highest proportion

were less positive about

4. Chia BODY

BODY 1 – Books (Undergraduate vs Postgraduate)

Undergraduate (Books):

very good: 37%

satisfaction: 35%

not good: 28%

→ đánh giá khá tích cực

Postgraduate (Books):

not good: 50% (cao nhất)

satisfaction: 28%

very good: 22%

→ đánh giá tiêu cực hơn

Ý chính: sinh viên đại học hài lòng hơn với books, trong khi sau đại học có xu hướng không hài lòng

BODY 2 – Non-print materials

Undergraduate:

very good: 68% (áp đảo)

satisfaction: 20%

not good: 12%

→ đánh giá rất cao

Postgraduate:

not good: 62% (cao nhất)

satisfaction: 22%

very good: 12%

→ đánh giá thấp

Ý chính: undergraduate đánh giá non-print materials rất tích cực, trái ngược hoàn toàn với postgraduate

5. Gợi ý từ vựng

account for

make up

represent

the largest proportion

be satisfied with

be dissatisfied with

show a contrast

Ví dụ:

Among undergraduates, “very good” accounted for the largest proportion in non-print materials.

Postgraduates were less satisfied with books, with “not good” making up half of the responses.

There is a clear contrast between the two groups in their evaluation of non-print materials.

The charts illustrate how undergraduate and postgraduate students evaluated the range of books and non-print materials, using three categories: very good, satisfactory, and not good.

Overall, undergraduates expressed considerably more positive views than postgraduates across both types of resources. While books received relatively balanced feedback from undergraduates, postgraduate students were more critical, particularly of non-print materials, which attracted predominantly negative ratings.

In terms of books, undergraduate responses were generally favourable, with 37% rating the range as very good and 35% as satisfactory, leaving 28% dissatisfied. By contrast, postgraduate students showed a clear tendency towards negative evaluation, as half of them (50%) considered the book range not good, compared to only 22% who rated it very good and 28% who were satisfied.

A similar but more pronounced disparity can be observed for non-print materials. Among undergraduates, a substantial majority of 68% gave a very good rating, while 20% were satisfied and just 12% expressed dissatisfaction. In contrast, postgraduate students displayed the opposite pattern, with 62% rating these resources as not good. Only 22% reported satisfaction, and a mere 12% considered them very good.
