Pie charts: World forest vs timber distribution by region

1. Giải thích đề

Hai biểu đồ tròn cho thấy tỷ lệ rừng trên thế giới và tỷ lệ sản lượng gỗ (timber) ở 5 khu vực: South America, Africa, Asia, Europe và North America.

→ Dạng: pie charts – so sánh 2 biểu đồ khác nội dung

2. Introduction (paraphrase)

Giữ các từ khóa:

percentage → proportion / share

Mẫu:

The pie charts illustrate the proportions of world forest and timber production across five different regions.

4. BODY 1 – World forest

Africa: 27% → cao nhất

North America: 25%

Europe: 18%

South America: 16%

Asia: 14% → thấp nhất

→ Ý chính: rừng tập trung chủ yếu ở Africa và North America

5. BODY 2 – Timber

North America: 30% → cao nhất

South America: 23%

Asia: 18%

Europe: 20%

Africa: 9% → thấp nhất

→ Ý chính: North America dẫn đầu về timber, trong khi Africa dù nhiều rừng nhưng khai thác thấp

The two pie charts illustrate the distribution of the world’s forest area across five regions and the proportion of global timber production originating from these regions.

Overall, Africa contains the largest share of global forest, whereas North America is the leading producer of timber. In contrast, Africa contributes a disproportionately small share of timber despite its extensive forest coverage.

In terms of forest distribution, Africa accounts for the highest proportion at 27%, followed by North America at 25%. Europe represents 18% of global forest area, while South America and Asia contribute 16% and 14% respectively, making Asia the region with the smallest forest share.

However, the pattern for timber production differs considerably. North America dominates with 30% of global timber output, despite having a slightly smaller forest area than Africa. South America is the second-largest producer at 23%, followed by Europe and Asia at 20% and 18% respectively. Notably, Africa contributes only 9% of timber production, which is significantly lower than its share of forest resources.
