The diagrams compare the layout of a bookstore in 2000 and at present.

Overall, the store has been reorganised to include more customer space and new facilities, notably a coffee counter, while the layout of book sections has been rearranged.

In 2000, fiction occupied a large area along the left side and top of the store, while non-fiction was located on the right. In the centre, there were separate sections for cookery, hobbies, and art, with travel books positioned near the bottom left. A table for new books stood in the middle, and the service desk was placed on the right near the entrance.

At present, the layout is more open, with several seating areas added in the centre. The fiction section has been moved to the left wall only, while non-fiction now occupies the top area. Smaller sections such as art, hobbies, and cookery are grouped along the left side, and travel has been relocated closer to the centre. The new books table remains near the entrance, but a coffee counter has been introduced on the right, replacing part of the previous book display area.
