The maps illustrate changes to Porth Harbour between 2000 and today.

Overall, the harbour has been developed for tourism, with more docks, new commercial facilities, and a hotel, while some original features have been relocated or expanded.

In 2000, the western side contained a marina for private yachts, fishing boats, and two car parks with nearby showers and toilets. A single dock extended into the harbour for passenger ferries. To the south, a lifeboat station was located along a curved road, and a disused castle stood on the eastern side near a public beach.

Today, the harbour has been significantly upgraded. The number of docks has increased to three. Cafés and shops have been added near the marina, which has been moved slightly south, while fishing boats are now positioned further north. Additional showers and toilets have been introduced on the western side. The disused castle has been replaced by a hotel, and the road has been extended to provide direct access to it. The lifeboat remains in a similar location, and the public beach is still present.
