The maps show the current layout of Islip town centre and its planned redevelopment.

Overall, the town will undergo major changes, with a new ring road, additional facilities, and expanded housing, while the central shopping area will be reorganised into a pedestrian zone.

At present, shops are concentrated along a main road running east–west, with countryside to the north and housing to the south. A school lies in the southwest, and a park is located to the southeast, connected by a minor road.

In the proposed plan, a dual carriageway will form a loop around the centre, improving traffic flow. Inside this ring road, the central street will become pedestrian-only, with shops retained but reorganised. New facilities, including a bus station, shopping centre, and car park, will be added to the north, replacing the countryside. Housing will be expanded, particularly to the south and east, while the park will remain in the southeast. The school, however, will stay in its original location.
