HƯỚNG DẪN VIẾT BÀI

Line graph: Percentage of employment by sector (1962–2012)

1. Giải thích đề

Biểu đồ cho thấy tỷ lệ lao động (%) làm việc trong năm lĩnh vực: services, manufacturing, agriculture, construction và mining trong giai đoạn 1962–2012.

→ Dạng: line graph – multiple groups (so sánh \+ xu hướng theo thời gian)

2. Introduction (paraphrase)

Giữ các từ khóa:

percentage of employment

sectors

workforce

time period

Có thể dùng:

shows → illustrates / compares

employment → workforce distribution

Mẫu:

The line graph illustrates the percentage of the workforce employed in five different sectors between 1962 and 2012\.

3. Overview (ý chính)

Services tăng mạnh và trở thành lĩnh vực lớn nhất

Manufacturing và agriculture giảm đáng kể

Construction tương đối ổn định

Mining luôn thấp nhất và ít biến động

Từ khóa nên dùng:

rose significantly

declined steadily

remained relatively stable

accounted for the smallest proportion

4. Chia BODY

BODY 1 – Nhóm chính (Services & Manufacturing)

Services:

tăng đều từ khoảng 52% lên gần 80%

→ tăng mạnh và chiếm ưu thế

Manufacturing:

giảm liên tục từ khoảng 27% xuống khoảng 10%

→ xu hướng giảm rõ rệt

Ý chính: lao động chuyển dịch mạnh từ manufacturing sang services

BODY 2 – Nhóm còn lại (Agriculture, Construction & Mining)

Agriculture:

giảm từ khoảng 12% xuống khoảng 4%

→ giảm đều

Construction:

dao động nhẹ quanh mức 9–10%

→ tương đối ổn định

Mining:

luôn rất thấp (khoảng 1–3%)

→ ít thay đổi và thấp nhất

Ý chính: các ngành còn lại chiếm tỷ trọng nhỏ hơn, trong đó agriculture giảm còn construction và mining khá ổn định

5. Gợi ý từ vựng

increase steadily

rise significantly

decline gradually

remain stable

account for

experience a downward trend

Ví dụ:

The proportion of workers in the service sector increased steadily over the period.

Manufacturing experienced a significant decline.

Agriculture showed a gradual decrease.

Construction remained relatively stable, while mining accounted for the smallest share.

The line graph illustrates the percentage distribution of employment across five sectors—services, manufacturing, agriculture, construction, and mining—between 1962 and 2012\.

Overall, the services sector increased steadily and became the dominant source of employment, while manufacturing and agriculture declined significantly. Construction remained relatively stable, and mining accounted for the smallest share throughout the period.

In 1962, services already represented the largest proportion at just over 50%, followed by manufacturing at around 27%. Over time, the share of services rose consistently, reaching approximately 78% in 2012\. In contrast, manufacturing experienced a continuous decline, falling from about 27% to around 10% by the end of the period.

Agriculture also showed a downward trend, decreasing steadily from roughly 12% in 1962 to just 4% in 2012\. Meanwhile, construction remained largely unchanged, fluctuating slightly around 9–10% throughout the years. Mining, although minor, increased marginally from about 2% to 3% between 1962 and 1992, before declining again to approximately 1% in the final year.
