HƯỚNG DẪN VIẾT BÀI

IELTS Writing Task 1 – Coffee & tea habits in Australia (5 cities)

2. Cách viết Introduction

Phần này bạn chỉ cần paraphrase lại đề, giữ đủ:

percentage
coffee & tea habits
five cities in Australia
three activities

→ Viết gọn, không phân tích ở đây.

BODY 2 – Fresh vs Instant coffee

Fresh coffee:

percentage → proportion / figure
people → residents
bought → purchased
went to a café → visited a café

The bar chart compares the percentages of residents in five Australian cities who bought fresh coffee, bought instant coffee, or visited a café for coffee or tea in the previous four weeks.

Overall, going to a café was the most popular habit in most cities, while buying fresh coffee was generally the least common. In addition, instant coffee purchases were consistently higher than fresh coffee across all locations.

Looking first at café visits, Melbourne recorded the highest figure at 64%, followed closely by Hobart (63%) and Sydney (61%). Brisbane stood at 56%, while Adelaide had the lowest proportion, though still relatively high, at 50%.

In terms of instant coffee, Hobart again ranked first at 54%, with Brisbane at 53% and Adelaide at 50%. Melbourne and Sydney had slightly lower figures of 49% and 46%, respectively.

By contrast, fresh coffee purchases were lower in all cities. Sydney had the highest proportion at 44%, followed by Melbourne (43%) and Hobart (39%). Adelaide and Brisbane recorded the lowest figures, at 35% and 34%, respectively.

In summary, Australians in these cities showed a stronger preference for drinking coffee or tea in cafés and for instant coffee, rather than buying fresh coffee.
