The bar chart compares the proportions of people in four age groups—under 15, 16–30, 31–50, and 50+—over the period from 1998 to 2000.

Overall, individuals aged 16–30 consistently accounted for the largest share, although their proportion declined over time. In contrast, the other three groups all experienced gradual increases, particularly the youngest and oldest cohorts.

In 1998, the 16–30 group made up 53%, the highest figure on the chart. This was followed by those aged 31–50 at 41%, while the under-15 and 50+ groups were much smaller, at 2% and 4% respectively. By 1999, the proportion of 16–30-year-olds had fallen to 45%, and it decreased slightly further to 44% in 2000.

Meanwhile, the 31–50 group saw a modest decline from 41% in 1998 to 39% in 1999 and 37% in 2000. In contrast, the youngest group rose markedly from 2% to 8%, then to 9% by 2000. A similar upward trend was observed among those aged 50 and above, increasing steadily from 4% to 8% and then 10%.
