HƯỚNG DẪN VIẾT BÀI

IELTS Writing Task 1 – Supermarket purchases (Food vs Goods, 1998 vs 2008)

IELTSchef sẽ chỉ bạn cách xử lý dạng 2 biểu đồ song song (food vs goods) – đây là dạng nhiều bạn dễ bị rối nha.

1. Hiểu đề bài

Biểu đồ cho thấy tỷ lệ mua:

Food
Goods

tại siêu thị ở 3 quốc gia:

Country A
Country B
Country C

trong hai năm: 1998 và 2008.

IELTSchef nhắc bạn:

Dạng này cần:

so sánh theo thời gian
so sánh giữa food vs goods
so sánh giữa các quốc gia

2. Cách viết Introduction

Paraphrase đề, giữ:

percentage
food & goods
supermarkets
3 countries
2 năm

3. Cách viết Overview

IELTSchef gợi ý overview:

Tỷ lệ mua hàng trong siêu thị tăng ở tất cả các quốc gia
Country A ghi nhận mức tăng mạnh nhất, đặc biệt với goods
Country B luôn có tỷ lệ cao và ổn định hơn
Country C vẫn là nước có tỷ lệ thấp nhất

4. Cách chia Body

BODY 1 – Food

Country A:

10 → 35 (tăng mạnh)

Country B:

22 → 27 (tăng nhẹ)

Country C:

6 → 8 (tăng nhẹ, thấp nhất)

IELTSchef chốt:

→ food tăng ở cả 3 nước, nhưng A tăng mạnh nhất

BODY 2 – Goods

Country A:

4 → 38 (tăng cực mạnh, lớn nhất toàn bài)

Country B:

23 → 26 (tăng nhẹ, ổn định)

Country C:

6 → 15 (tăng đáng kể nhưng vẫn thấp hơn A)

IELTSchef chốt:

→ goods có biến động lớn hơn food, đặc biệt ở Country A

5. Gợi ý paraphrase

proportion / percentage
purchases in supermarkets
rose dramatically
increased slightly
remained comparatively low

Ví dụ:

The proportion of goods purchased in supermarkets in Country A rose dramatically nha.

By contrast, figures for Country C remained comparatively low in both categories.

The two bar charts compare the proportions of food and other goods purchased in supermarkets in three countries in 1998 and 2008.

Overall, supermarket shopping became more common in all three countries over the period, with the most dramatic increases seen in Country A. In addition, food consistently accounted for a slightly higher proportion than other goods in most cases, although the gap narrowed in 2008.

In terms of food, Country A experienced a sharp rise from 10% in 1998 to 35% in 2008. Country B also saw a moderate increase, from 22% to 27%. By contrast, Country C recorded only a small growth, from 6% to 8%, remaining the lowest among the three.

A similar pattern is evident for other goods. Country A again showed the most significant growth, climbing from just 4% to 38%. Country B rose marginally from 23% to 26%, while Country C increased from 6% to 15%. Despite these gains, Country B remained relatively stable compared to the substantial expansion observed in Country A.
