BODY 2 – Africa \+ Asia (mức thấp hơn)

Africa:

The bar chart compares the number of people living in urban areas in the whole world, Africa, Asia and Latin America in 1950 and 2000, with projections for 2030, measured in millions.

Overall, urban populations increased substantially in all regions and are expected to continue rising. Latin America consistently recorded the highest figures, while Africa remained the lowest despite steady growth.

In 1950, the global urban population stood at 30 million, rising to 48 million in 2000 and projected to reach 60 million by 2030. A similar upward trend is evident in Africa, where figures grew from 12 to 39 million and are expected to climb further to 51 million.

Asia also experienced significant growth, increasing from 14 million in 1950 to 38 million in 2000, with a projected figure of 56 million in 2030. Latin America, however, had the largest urban population throughout, rising from 42 million to 70 million and expected to reach 80 million by 2030.
