IELTS Writing Task 1 – Employment by sector (3 countries, 1980 vs 2020)

Agriculture
Industry
Services

ở 3 quốc gia (A, B, C) vào năm 1980 và 2020.

IELTSchef nhắc bạn:

Dạng này trọng tâm là:

sự chuyển dịch cơ cấu lao động
so sánh giữa các nước

2. Cách viết Introduction

Paraphrase đề bài, giữ đủ:

tỷ lệ lao động
3 ngành
3 quốc gia
2 năm

3. Cách viết Overview

IELTSchef gợi ý version overview “chuẩn bài”:

Services tăng và trở thành ngành lớn nhất ở Country A và C
Agriculture giảm mạnh ở A và C, nhưng vẫn cao ở B
Country B có xu hướng ngược lại, với agriculture vẫn chiếm tỷ lệ lớn

4. Cách chia Body

BODY 1 – Country A & C (xu hướng giống nhau)

Country A:

Agriculture: 20 → 12 (giảm)
Industry: 30 → 28 (giảm nhẹ)
Services: 45 → 55 (tăng)

Country C:

Agriculture: 5 → 2 (giảm)
Industry: 35 → 25 (giảm)
Services: 65 → 80 (tăng mạnh)

IELTSchef chốt:

→ cả hai nước đều chuyển dịch sang services nha.

BODY 2 – Country B (ngoại lệ)

Agriculture: 55 → 48 (giảm nhưng vẫn cao)
Industry: 20 → 40 (tăng mạnh)
Services: 25 → 42 (tăng)

IELTSchef chốt:

→ Country B vẫn phụ thuộc vào agriculture nhiều hơn so với A và C

5. Gợi ý paraphrase

workforce / employment
sectors
shift towards
remained dominant
increased / decreased significantly

Ví dụ:

There was a clear shift towards the service sector in Countries A and C nha.

By contrast, agriculture remained the dominant sector in Country B despite a decline.

The charts compare the proportions of employment in agriculture, industry and services in three countries in 1980 and 2020.

Overall, all three countries experienced a decline in agricultural employment and a corresponding rise in the service sector. Industry showed mixed trends, decreasing in Countries A and C but increasing markedly in Country B.

In Country A, agriculture fell from 20 percent in 1980 to 12 percent in 2020, while industry declined slightly from 30 to 28 percent. In contrast, services grew substantially from 45 to 55 percent, becoming the dominant sector.

Country B showed a different pattern. Agriculture dropped sharply from 55 percent to 48 percent, while industry doubled from 20 to 40 percent. Services also rose, albeit more modestly, from 25 to 42 percent, narrowing the gap with agriculture.

In Country C, agriculture was already minimal at 5 percent in 1980 and declined further to just 2 percent in 2020. Industry also decreased from 35 to 25 percent. Meanwhile, services expanded significantly from 65 to 80 percent, accounting for the vast majority of employment by the end of the period.
