Nominalization

Chuyển động từ và tính từ thành danh từ để viết văn học thuật chặt chẽ, súc tích theo chuẩn IELTS.

1. NOMINALIZATION LÀ GÌ? TẠI SAO QUAN TRỌNG?

Định nghĩa & Mục đích
Nominalization = biến động từ (V) hoặc tính từ (adj) thành DANH TỪ (noun)
Ví dụ: develop (V) → development (N)
reduce (V) → reduction (N)
stable (adj) → stability (N)
Mục đích: tạo văn phong HỌC THUẬT (academic register) chính thức, trang trọng
Trong IELTS Academic Writing Band 7+, Nominalization là DẤU HIỆU của từ vựng học thuật cao
● Câu thông thường: "Technology has developed fast, and this has changed how we communicate."
● Câu học thuật: "The rapid development of technology has transformed communication."
→ Nominalization giúp câu ngắn gọn hơn, trang trọng hơn, ít chủ ngữ we/you/they hơn

⚠ LƯU Ý: Phát âm hậu tố -tion/-ation/-sion: đọc là "-shun". Ví dụ: education = edu-CAY-shun, information = in-for-MAY-shun. Quan trọng cho IELTS Speaking pronunciation!

3. NOMINALIZATION LÀM CHỦ NGỮ — PHONG CÁCH HỌC THUẬT CAO NHẤT

Cách chuyển câu thông thường sang câu học thuật bằng nominalization
● Thông thường: "Governments invest in education, which helps economies grow."
● Học thuật: "Investment in education is a key driver of economic growth."
● Thông thường: "Many people are worried about the environment."
● Học thuật: "Growing concern about environmental issues has prompted policy reform."
● Thông thường: "The company implemented the new system efficiently."
● Học thuật: "The efficient implementation of the new system yielded positive results."

4. NOUN PHRASES HỌC THUẬT HIỆU QUẢ TRONG IELTS

Cụm danh từ học thuật (Academic Noun Phrases) phổ biến nhất trong IELTS
XU HƯỚNG: an increase/decrease/rise/fall/decline/growth/reduction IN + lĩnh vực
TÁC ĐỘNG: an impact ON / an effect ON / an influence ON + đối tượng bị ảnh hưởng
PHÂN TÍCH: an analysis OF / a review OF / an assessment OF / an examination OF + chủ đề
ĐÓNG GÓP: a contribution TO / a response TO / access TO / a commitment TO + noun

5. DANH TỪ KHÔNG ĐẾM ĐƯỢC THƯỜNG GẶP — CHÚ Ý!

Các danh từ này KHÔNG có số nhiều (-s) trong nghĩa học thuật phổ biến
research (nghiên cứu) — KHÔNG nói "researches" trong nghĩa nghiên cứu
evidence (bằng chứng) — KHÔNG nói "evidences"
information (thông tin) — KHÔNG nói "informations"
advice (lời khuyên) — KHÔNG nói "advices" → muốn đếm: a piece of advice
knowledge (kiến thức) — KHÔNG nói "knowledges"
progress (tiến bộ) — KHÔNG nói "progresses" trong nghĩa tiến bộ
feedback (phản hồi) — KHÔNG nói "feedbacks"
data (dữ liệu) — trong học thuật thường là SỐ NHIỀU: "The data SUGGEST..." (không phải suggests)
